Destined for Plastic Surgery

Dr. Basu loves creative pursuits, especially those that involve developing a strategy or plan, synergizing the best resources and executing his vision. As a medical student in Boston, he originally thought he would pursue cardiovascular surgery, but discovered his passion for plastic surgery during his general surgery residency at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC.

A mentor once observed that Dr. Basu approached every case with an eye for perfection—especially when it came to how patients looked after surgery. That attention to aesthetics, combined with technical excellence, made it clear he was destined for aesthetic plastic surgery.

I love that in plastic surgery, you not only have to complete an anatomically and functionally pristine procedure, but you have to ensure your results look fantastic. My ultimate goal is to achieve exceptional aesthetic results in every patient.
